Martial

The three personality exemplifies the search for the validation of self. They frequently become successful in the eyes of society because they make it their business to achieve those things which their peers find valuable.

The passion of the three is Deceit. The three lives out of the pain of being disconnected from their own hearts, constantly questioning the fragile line between being loved and being recognized or affirmed as the symbol of love they are desperate for. The deceit of three is expressed in their ability to pivot or flex and assume any role, position or opinion that is required to accomplish whatever they want to achieve.

The fixation of the three is vanity. They will do whatever it takes to serve their ego in terms of acquiring praise or admiration.

The Main Theme of Three

  • Focused on performance and being successful
  • Want to stand out
  • Believe that love comes from achievement, image and status
  • Have a tendency to neglect and ignore the personal needs of self and others

The Core Wound

Felt inadequate, incompetent, failure, incapable of taking care of themselves, believe they have to be the best to be valued or loved, loved only for accomplishments and not who they are. Their primary focus is success.

The path of Integration for a Three

The path of Integration for a Three is to Six. With integration they become less focused on themselves and their carefully curated images. Instead they center their success of their loved ones or communities. This is way of security stability and security for all.

The path of Disintegration for a Three

The way of Disintegration for a three is Nine. Along this path, they fall backward into unhealthy manipulative surrenders, giving up as a way of making peace. This they do so that they don’t feel like they lost.

The Awakened Three

The virtue of three is authenticity, demonstrated by their sincere warmth, genuine concern and truthful integrity. The centered three brings for the significance and beauty in all they accomplish.

Wings

The 3 with a 2 wing is a Star. They have extraordinary social skills and enjoy being the center of attraction. They are charming, sociable, popular, and desire to reach out to others and make interpersonal contact. They are outwardly emotional and friendly and care a great deal about what other people think of them. In an unhealthy state, they can become competitive, obsessively compare themselves to others, seek attention and seek revenge on those who do not give them the attention.

The 3 with a 4 wing is a Professional. They focus on work, achievement, and recognition. They can be quiet in a subdued manner, private and emotionally vulnerable but more restrained in their self-expression, artistic sensibilities, and creative ability. They can be serious, and overtly task-oriented, introspective. In their unhealthy state, they can become self-accusing and terrified of failure, moody, pretentious, aloof and hold feelings of superiority and arrogance.
