Human And Spiritual (Evolutionary)
As part of life, human beings walk two paths. The first path is the one that we experience through our human awareness (our senses) and the other path that most people never traverse is experienced through soulful-ness.

The First Path – The Path of Human Awareness
Our human awareness is very real to us. We experience it as our reality in our flesh, joys, and pain. In its awareness, we know what it feels like to succeed and fail, to build and to break, to allow and to close, to connect and disconnect.
Many people believe that that is all there is – There is nothing more to our lives than our day to day, moment to moment experiences. We are taught about our human-ness, how to stay grounded and real and focused on worldly success.
We feed our egocentric and egotistical tendencies on a daily basis growing further and further in awareness from the other path. We DO what is needed to be successful from a purely worldly perspective.
At our best, we work hard to gain worldly knowledge and become capable of earning to take care of ourselves and our loved ones. This path is the path of temporary gains and mixed results. It is experienced by insecurities, challenges, pain, and struggle and feeds our ego.
The Second Path – The Path of Soul Evolution
The path of our soul evolution remains hidden. Few people acknowledge the aspect of a soul as part of their being. The soul lives on even after physical death. The soul evolves and grows with human experiences. When we acknowledge our soulfulness and its evolution through the human experience, our life takes on a different dynamic. For some people, this involves navigating a whole new path that leads to self-discovery, mastery, and actualization.
This has also been referred to as the “Hero’s Journey”. The Hero’s Journey described by Joseph Campbell, speaks of two worlds, The Ordinary World, and the Extraordinary World.
The ordinary world is the one I describe as the “human-ness”. The Extraordinary world is the one that we must cross a threshold to discover.
It is not easy to define and different for each individual. It depends on what each person wishes to actualize in their experience of life.
The path of soul evolution is hard and can be scary in that it requires us to change, and grow, learn new skills, discard the ignorance and seek out knowledge, gain understanding and wisdom in and through our challenges.
It can be confusing and without proper guidance to be filled with dangers, deception, and temptation. However, the goal is to stay alert and aware, open to Divine help and to stay the course.
On this path, we need to do what is needed to be successful from the soul’s evolutionary perspective. We might have to work hard to gain spiritual knowledge to become capable of more fully embodying our true Divine nature.
This evolutionary progress will help us let go off our own narcissistic, egocentric and egotistical tendencies that we express in our human-ness. By taking this path, we develop higher awareness and greater clarity into our inherent limitedness presented by our ego.
Alignment
The advantage of discovering and walking this second path alongside our human-ness is greater alignment. Alignment means we are able to draw greater knowledge, understanding, and wisdom into our everyday awareness of things.
We are able to make discerning choices that will benefit us and others because we are simply more aware.
